Michael Scoggins displays large drawings that look like notebook pages. This is his primary vehicle in utilizing a connection with his viewers. The paper is enlarged to give the common object a sense of importance and to create a new perspective. This paper, which the artist himself crafted, is sometimes deliberately scribbled, torn, and folded.Scoggins departs from the traditional method by attempting to make three-dimensional art out of common plane drawings and paintings. He mainly communicates through what people can identify as a child’s scribble or drawing.

George Morton-Clark, a playful, fun-loving English artist, utilizes oil, acrylic, and charcoal on unprimed canvas to bring familiar cartoon characters to life. With a combination of bold images and strong colors, his line drawings are immersed in an abstract atmosphere of energy and liveliness.
George Morton-Clark guides us into his energetic work with an interesting combination of these three elements: intense colors, spontaneous drawings, and nostalgic cartoon characters. His work may seem simple at first glance, just a straightforward fusion of cartoon characters and abstract components, yet something striking lies in the midst. The artist's rich imagination and sensibility are freely expressed; he is not restricted by a single genre, and all kinds of colorful materials naturally communicate their allegorical stories to those viewing his work.
Morton-Clark adds originality and story to already familiar cartoon characters, and through this they are reborn with a newfound sense of vitality and meaning. He is wary of complacency and constantly strives to move his work in a new direction. This results in his art becoming a mixture of a variety of styles—abstract elements mingling with figurative, and Expressionistic techniques also adding to the diversity represented in his work. Morton-Clark utilizes the natural, unprimed surface of his canvas as a place to bring well-known characters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Tom and Jerry, to life. They are drawn in such a way that embodies both the charm of a painting that is finished, and one that is still in progress. Even the chaotic, exaggerated portions of his work are expressed with such a natural frankness that they are transformed into positive elements that inspire vitality and liveliness.
Another element that catches the eye, are the numerous characters that continuously make appearances in his paintings. Their large eyes stare at us from the canvas, in a striking and overemphasized fashion. Their gazes are enough to evoke a collection of emotions; everything we feel and express. Whether they are conveying surprise or fear, or if they are actually a representation of the artist’s eyes, is unsure. Nonetheless, we are engulfed in a state of curiosity which the artist responds to with an ambiguous simplicity. His artwork is simply a gift to the viewer; a small window of relaxation and simple enjoyment that the viewer can use to imagine to their heart's content.
George Morton-Clark's work, which has been highly praised by Dr. Rolf Lauter, former Chief Curator and Deputy Director of the MMK Museum of Modern Art in Frankfurt, Germany, emanates humility and candor. To appreciate his work properly, one must take in the contents splayed upon the entirety of the canvas, instead of looking for a hidden meaning behind them. Rather than presenting a grand, elaborate theme about our time, and trying to integrate himself into some section of art history, he presents pieces that resemble comfortable and fun times spent laughing and talking to some close friends.

대표적으로 유수 기관인 TWFINEART 갤러리와 “Who ain’t got time for hickies”라는 제목으로 협업 콜라보 전시와 Marquee Project 미술관에서 개인전이 열린 것은 물론, 최근 브뤼셀과 베를린에서 열린 개인전 오프닝에서 대부분의 작품이 sold out 되는 등 고공행진을 보이고 있다.
Taylor White rejects all conventional conceptual framework, and observes and expresses his voice in a very post modernistic manner. His work is never dull, as it utilizes a variety of materials with various properties, including wood chips, canvas, charcoal, acrylics, staples, plastic, and oil paints, which merge diverse elements to find harmonious inertia and complete creative and fresh works. By combining materials that, at first glance, don’t have much in common with one another, White strives to find a point of agreement in artistic interpretation. Some call what he does “collages”, but Taylor says he considers his methods just as ways to edit images.
Born in San Diego, Taylor White majored in Studio Art at Mary Washington University, and was a resident at the Cycamore Artist Residency in New York and the Espositivo 7B Residency in Madrid. He is active in not only the U.S., but also Europe and other various locations. He has collaborated with TWFINEART Gallery which resulted in the show "Who ain’t got time for hickies” and has also held a solo show at Marquee Projects. His two recent solo shows in Brussels and Berlin were both hugely successful, and they both nearly sold out on the first day.

Starsky Brines was raised in the small city of Maturin in Venezuela and earned a B.A degree in Painting at Higher Education Institute for Plastic Arts Armando Reveron(IUESAPAR) in Caracas. His rich color and formation was developed while working as an assistant at the studio of Jesus Raphael Soto, a worldly known kinetic artist, and also influenced by a street artist friend.
The frown-like smiles on the faces of his unique characters are silly and ridiculous but also evoke a sense of deep sadness. As humans we are violent in nature, but we choose to conceal this instinct from others. Starsky Brines does not. The savage and violent nature we possess as humans are expressed in his work freely and without reservation. Through his characters, the ambivalent feelings we may have towards someone, loving but also hating them, are portrayed in a frank manner. The artist encourages viewers to communicate with his work; to stumble upon a kind of a fight with themselves and discover the angry child they have within.
Brines’ work illustrates the characteristics of graffiti and primitive art, which represent the conflicts of the society he was born into; Caribbean and Latin American culture being two prevalent forces in his hometown of Caracas. The happy yet bitter smiles of the masked animals in his work act as a form of paradoxical humor, embodying irony with wit, and also as a look into Latin American culture and identity.
Starsky Brines held his first solo exhibition in Venezuela in 2006, and since then, he has had solo exhibitions in Spain, Columbia, and Germany. His unique artworks are included in various organizations such as China’s National Museum in Beijing, Acarigua Art Museum in Venezuela, Burger Collection in Hong Kong, and Sanders Collection in Germany and Switzerland.

작가는 NYC의 The Hole, LA의 루이지애나 주립 미술관, LA의 the Shaw Center for the Arts, 그리고 뉴올리언스 현대미술관에서 전시해왔다.
“I want a calm, simple existence - and believe when I create work that is true to this idea, it brings me closer to obtaining my goal.”
Robert Moreland begins with an extended exercise in planning and engineering that allows him a near meditative existence in the studio, designing and constructing four to six inch maquettes until he reaches a compositional conclusion worth realizing on a larger scale. Having an appreciation for historically romantic practices and materials, He begins a process of hand-stretching canvas using tacks. This is an older method that (even if the tacks are mostly unseen) is important. He believes that the meticulous effort that goes into each piece becomes evident in the overall feeling and reception of a completed work. Then, keeping in mind my strong desire for less, he combines materials in a manner that seeks aesthetic synthesis while allowing their inherent characteristics to remain intact. Once this part is complete, then only the most essential elements are added. Using wood, canvas, tacks, paint and leather, he creates a finished sculpture meant to ground itself in its environment. The finished works do not produce distractions, but instead exist as dynamic objects of focus.
Robert Moreland is minimalist sculptor/painter living and working in Los Angeles, California. Hailing from South Louisiana. He is a 2016 Rema Hort Mann Foundation Grant Nominee and his work is a part of the Frederick R. Weisman Collection. He has been exhibited at The Hole, NYC, Louisiana State Museum, LA, the Shaw Center for the Arts, LA, and the Contemporary Art Center, New Orleans. After several years of living and working in New Orleans, Robert ventured west to Los Angeles and now spends his days in his studio in Chinatown.

“I think daily objects assert their roles and reveal their existence. My works are archives of building scene that we often gave an indifferent look. “ –Lee Jungmin
Lee Jungmin, a media artist, started with ‘in and around’ solo exhibition at Kumho Museum and received a great attention through Media Façade at Pyeongchang Sochi Winter Olympics Information Hall in SK tower. She expresses lapse of time with 2D line drawing and composite animation from actual image. To reveal the interest in selective perception architectural factors (line and face, corner and wall, pillar, door, etc) are assembled on a plane resulting in perspective drawing in 3D space. Lines appear at different velocity which makes an individual realize that time lapse is very subjective through relationship of space, time, and image.
She mainly used powerpoint tool to illustrate artificial environment such as scene with architecture or structure. In this exhibition she introduces a fresh format of work that viewers make changes by themselves. Based on the position of viewers the image of the art changes. The artist wants them to experience the point when they perceive objects and scenes from a fixed structure. The subject of ‘Windows’, is close up buildings and objects. This artwork powers life into motionless urban scenery with penetration of light through open window and reflection of it. Selected scenes are analyzed then, supplemental elements are removed or bleached. Collage with actual image rearranges distance while lenticular technique brings sense of space and realism into the plane.

Hwang Hyungshin
Hwang Hyungshin is a renowned art furniture artist focusing on practicality with his original designs. The Layered exhibition starts from his childhood image of grayish Seoul, an incessantly transforming city full of geometric architecture.
He constructs his own modeling by reproducing and recombining fragmented images emerged from an urban environment and its cultural characteristics. ‘Layered’ means layering up repetitive memories formed by a distinctive environment as well as the process of utilizing material and production. The commonly found black polypropylene board is used to metaphorically reflect the present.
The artist reinterprets fragments of urban society’s image by forming a community of each combined objects.

Eum Hayoung is an emerging artist that covers various themes and media across the realm of fashion illustration and painting. He started his career as an artist in 2006 when he was a fashion illustrator at Vogue Korea. He also has been the first Korean artist to sign to the British Lemonade Illustration Agency and has been working on global projects since.
Eum expands his field of painting, and explores how our perception becomes stereotyped through the overflow of images and information that we are constantly exposed to, and asks questions about society and how it presents certain criteria or norms influenced by the media. The artist combines images from his subconscious, images that have been influenced by the media that change depending on the situation or mood, into his own reinterpreted fantasy.
Eum Hayoung’s paintings have an experimental edge to them, which is emphasized by his use of Benjamin Moore’s Ultra Spec paint. They help his work portray a more three-dimensional and lively texture and color.

Lee Hunchung, dubbed the "nomadic artist," has been showcasing various forms of exhibitions since his debut, including ceramic exhibits, installation exhibits and furniture sculpture exhibits. Lee regards ceramic as a canvas made of clay, a 3-dimensional flat surface. While using materials from both the East and the West, the basic color of his work shines of vacancy, poverty, and tranquility. Lee wishes for viewers to look beyond the physical form of the objet and choose to rather peer into the time it originated and the movement of space that will change over time, and foretell the feeling of absence that the we will feel when it is removed.
Lee Hunchung has gained attention since Design Miami/Basel in 2009 for his simple and rugged concrete and ceramic table piece. He is also the only living Korean sculptor whose works are a part of the collection at The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Korea.

Jo Jae is an artist that explores the senses. Her work spans a variety of mediums, expanding from painting to sculpture to animation. The underlying topic behind her oeuvre is the urban landscape and the sensations they elicit, naturally leading into a study of the dominant sensation that represents modern times.
The artist's work is based on the act of collecting and combining the scenery and materials seen during a walk in the city. These collected images are intersected with the artist’s perspective and are reconstructed into a new artistic model of her own. Jo Jae’s method of recombining the urban landscape may seem extremely intuitive and spontaneous, but it also plays a role in intentionally revealing the fragmented state of the world.
This exploration into the connection between the cityscape and the senses has naturally led the artist into a search for the dominant sensation of this era. Munch’s <Scream> or Choi In Hoon’s <The Square> are pieces that reflect the loneliness that represents modernity. However, alienation, confusion, distraction, instability, and opacity are the emotions that are prevalent in modern times. Jo Jae focuses on these emotions and uses digital image editing tools to express them through her work. The artist explains that her tools of choice were a logical decision, as she is working with images distributed through digital devices and the visual perceptions of today.
Jo also focuses on how the superficiality of the digital world mirrors the superficiality of the real world; the digital world acting as mimesis of reality. She pays attention to the numerous possibilities that emerge from the two worlds that closely resemble each other, and in particular, strives to articulate the process of how these sensations are formed.
Since graduating from Sungkyunkwan University in 2014, Jo Jae has continued her studies at the Royal College of Art in London and has since participated in a variety of exhibitions. In 2016, she won the Young Talent Contemporary Prize awarded by the Ingram Collection in the UK, the Hopper Prize in the United States in 2019, and also participated in the Radical Residency ll at London’s Unit 1 Gallery in 2018. In Korea, she has consistently held various group shows and solo shows since 2018 and is currently working as an instructor in the Department of Art at Sungkyunkwan University's College of Arts.
